The President's Volunteer Service Award

Gracewood Academy is proud to be a Certifying Organization for the President's Volunteer Service Award!

The President's Volunteer Service Award recognizes, celebrates, and inspires community service leaders and volunteers. This award was started by the President's Council on Service and Civic Participation in 2003, as a way to thank and honor Americans who, by example, inspired others to engage in volunteer service.

This award acknowledges students who volunteer their time to community service and do not benefit personally or financially. The purpose of community service is to renew your commitment to help others and to make new connections that bring us closer together as neighbors, communities, and as a nation. The goal is to recognize and honor volunteers who set a standard for service, encourage sustained commitment to civic participation, and inspire others.
